The material for semiconductors mainly has the electrical resistance among that of a conductor and a non-conductor. The resistance of semi-conductors also is affected by changes in temperature or added “impurities”.

The extent of thyristors manufactures was governed by Moore's law. Lithography is the most important point of making complex power semiconductor gadgets at smaller price. For optical lithography is already outdated, there's these days a tendency for other technologies. It is now quickly being substituted by more up-to-date ultraviolet lithography and nano-imprint lithography. Since recently specialists also consider x-ray lithography and electron beam lithography as suitable substitutes.
